Will an insert fit your expansions? A verification checklist

Short answer. Match the supplier’s named expansion support to your exact content list, then account for cards, boards, promos, and sleeves. Space for one expansion does not prove space for every expansion.

List what will move into the box

Write a component inventory for each expansion and identify items that replace base-game components. Keep removed items accounted for in another labeled location. Distinguish optional modules from components needed every session. The purpose is to describe the packed configuration, not to assume everything can be consolidated.

Read the supported expansion list

Compare the exact expansion titles with the insert product page and its revision. Record any requirement to use a larger box or leave specified components elsewhere. If the wording says compatible with expansions but does not name them, ask for clarification. Avoid turning a general marketing phrase into a complete support matrix.

Check card changes independently

Record new card formats and counts, including promos. If the base-game deck was already close to a tray’s capacity, added cards need a new measured stack check. Sleeve support should refer to the intended sleeve product and configuration. A card count without a sleeve condition is incomplete evidence for a sleeved collection.

Review the top layers

Boards, player mats, rulebooks, and reference sheets can change closure even when tokens fit into the trays. Follow the packing diagram for the supported configuration. Record the layer order. Do not remove required components merely to claim the insert stores the expansion.

Keep a complete location map

If some items remain outside the main box, label those containers and record the locations in the inventory. State this limitation in any compatibility summary. A workable split arrangement can be useful, but it should not be described as all expansions in one box.
